daily walk time

Mummy has got a new hiking rucksack that she can carry Joseph around in. He loves being up high at eye level with everyone and watching what is going on and also finds it easy to sleep in whilst Mummy is doing her daily walk to build up her fitness. We will soon be heading to the hills.

week 37 update

Joseph is still putting on weight well- the latest weigh in was 19 lbs 6 oz and we can really notice the extra weight when carrying him around during the day. He has got much more active now and can now crawl forwards using his knees and elbows at quite a speed and can quickly spin and roll around. He is talking in his own language much more and really noticing the things around him. It can be quite a challenge now changing his nappies or dressing him as he just won't lay still long enough to do what is needed which can be quite frustrating. His hair has started growing again so he will soon have a fine head of hair on him. He is eating lots of different foods now but still likes everything to be puree as he spits out any lumps in his food. His favourite home made food so far has been plaice in cheese sauce with brocolli and he just had his first lentils today. Yum, yum.

The first tooth appears

Joseph's first tooth has broken through and we can now clearly see it. It is his left one of the front two on his lower jaw so that explains the recent unsettled nights. Daddy is pleased to find out he does not have to pay anything yet until they fall out again so he has time to save up his pennies. Right, now where's that bonjella?

swimming lesson with Daddy

Joe's first swimming lesson with Daddy was fun. We hope Mummy's cold gets better soon so she can go in the pool for the next lesson.

video clip

Here is Joe's favourite toy in action on this video clip. It's the musical snail and don't you just love that catchy tune?

Joe's new camera

Auntie Suzanne bought Joe his first camera so now he can keep up with Daddy when he is snapping away. It's a really modern camera that even says "you're beautiful" and flashes every time he takes a photo with it.

wolves fan

Joseph is all ready for the football season with his present from Uncle Richard. He is also celebrating Wolves lucky 2-1 win over Cambridge United on Saturday.

He's crawling now

Joe suddenly worked out how to crawl forwards whilst at Mums over the weekend and now there is no stopping him moving around- he just won't sit still. He made his first den under Mum's coffee table and slowly moved his favourite toys into it during the day and then finished off by pulling the table cloth down onto his head.

fun with Cousin Finn

More festive fun, this time with Cousin Finn. They hadn't seen each other for quite a while but soon started getting on really well together again and were really enjoying each others' company. Here they are getting their Christmas presents and having a bit of fun. I think they were planning some more cartoon adventures for the new year. See you again soon Cousin Finn!

Joe catching up with old friends

Joseph got to meet his old friends from Yorkshire, the twins Penny and Leo, who have moved down to Cambridge. They all go back such a long way and had lots to catch up on from the past 8 months.

service station stop

A quick lunch stop on the way down to visit the Cambridge family for more festive fun.

New Year with the Grandparents

Joseph wishes everyone a Happy New Year for 2008. Here he is enjoying New Year with the family in a nice Yorkshire country pub. Daddy enjoyed his pint of beer and Mummy enjoyed her pudding so everyone was happy.

Festive celebration with Auntie Julie

Joseph enjoyed his festive party with Auntie Julie and Uncle Richard. He loves sitting up at the table with everyone and interacting. He did not get to try his Auntie's great meal but had a turkey meal of his own which he loved.

Joe's in start position and ready to go. It won't be long now until he's up and running.
