week 18 and more injections

Finn and Joseph were discussing immunisations and have both been for their third set this week.
Joseph's latest weight gain was only 4oz over two weeks making him 14 lbs, 9.5 oz. Nothing to worry about but Mummy has now started supplementing one feed a day with formula. This is the very start of his gradual transition into the big world of eating real food. He has even started watching us eat now with great interest. He studies every fork full going in and then copies our chewing actions with a big smile.

Sunshine at the seaside

Joseph seems to like the seaside and sunshine and was happy even though he did not get to try the local whitby fish and chips or ice cream this time. He will soon be wanting to spend all day playing on the beach.

Joe's putting his feet up

Mummy and Daddy have stopped for a pub lunch at the seaside and it could take a while so Joe is putting his feet up and relaxing in the sun.

daily milk supply

Wow, this is how much milk Joseph is drinking every day now.... 1.6 pints to be exact and looks loads when you see it all here. Amazing work from Mummy to keep this supply going every day (and don't worry viewers of a sensitive nature- this photo is recreated with soya milk)

He's done it

Joseph has just managed to roll right over onto his front for the first time. Another milestone reached and it won't be long now until he is crawling and then Mummy will have her hands full.

First new shoes

Joseph has just started wearing his first pair of shoes. They are so tiny but those feet are just growing all the time.

Cousin Finn

Here is a super photo of cousin Finn. He's doing really well and looking good in this photo.

week 16 update

Week 16 and Joseph has weighed in at 14 lbs, 4 oz which is still following the line perfectly so all that good milk is doing wonders. He has managed to roll over onto his side, make alot of noise, really enjoy his first ever swim, got used to going out and about in his new stroller and is now managing to put everything he can into his mouth whenever he gets the opportunity.

Joe's new trick

Joe has just learnt a new trick- how to stick out his tongue and so is now doing it at every chance he gets. No, I did not teach him that one, honest....

morris dancers in town

The morris dancers put on a show in the market square on Sunday and Joe was very keen to get down town and see them in action. Well I think he was keen- when we asked him if he wanted to see them he said "oog, aag, eeg" which I assume meant "yes can't wait, let's go and see them now, they will be really good"

new bib

Here you can see Joe modeling the new bib that he gave his Mummy as a birthday present a few weeks ago.

week 14

The week 14 weigh-in gave his weight at 13 lbs 5.5 and perfectly following the growth curve so all that milk is doing the job nicely. He had his second batch of injections which daddy sat in with him for and seems OK now after them. Joseph looks very grown up now in his smart clothes and can happily roll over onto his front. He does not look like anyone from Eastenders in this photo either!!!
He is saying alot of words now such as agnee, algee, errer, rgh and his first recognisable word so far is....... Elvis!!!!!

Sunday roast at the Black Sheep Brewery

In the brewery of the best beer in England- Black Sheep. Joseph enjoyed the sights and smells of being there, mummy enjoyed her roast beef and of course daddy enjoyed his fine ales. Thanks to Keith for my birthday treat.
