in his pram

A great photo of Joseph going out for some winter fresh air in his thermal padded suit.

Christmas fun

Joseph's first Christmas was a great success. He enjoyed his turkey dinner and spending time with gran and grumps. Daddy was out on his rig and missed all the fun but will be home next year to enjoy it with them all.

Here's a photo of Joseph on his first Christmas morning with all his presents. He was thrilled with all of them and wants to thank everyone for their kindness. Now, which one is he going to open first?????

Christmas deliveries

Looks like Santa is all loaded up and ready to start delivering his presents but it seems like our Santa is just a little worn out already preparing for the big day. A bottle of milk and an afternoon nap might just do the trick. Come on Santa, we want our presents!

Merry Christmas from Santa Joseph

Santa Joseph thanks everyone for looking at his website and wishes you all a Merry Christmas. He is off now to find his reindeer and hopes you all get some fab presents. However, we don't think his parents will be very popular when he is a teenager and sees these photos!!!

visit from Arie and Greg

Joseph got to compare hairstyles with Greg and steal all his money and also to listen to a bit of Dutch being spoken by Arie at the weekend. It was great to have them both up to visit, with Arie flying over from Rotterdam and Greg driving up from Maidenhead.

week 32 update

Joseph is making great progress after 32 weeks. He can say mumma and dadda and understand a few baby sign language words. He is very active and eats his solid foods well. Weight is increasing well, following the plan to over 18 lbs now and teeth are starting to grow which makes some pain. He's had a few colds to deal with that were not nice and has recently developed a very loud scream when he wants attention. He manages to sit up on his own for a short while, can do turntable spins on his stomach and rolls around everywhere. Changing nappies can become a small challenge as he likes to roll around and onto his front on his changing mat.

almost crawling

He's not crawling yet, but it won't be long. He's certainly getting ready to be on the move.
On your marks......get set...... GO!!!

Mummy's Diet

Well done Mummy. Sheena has completed her sponsored diet challenge before Christmas and has lost 17 lbs- the complete weight of Joseph which is a fantastic achievement and we are all very proud of her. Thank you very much to all her sponsors who have raised a nice amount of cash to help this great charity.

Joe's first Christmas party

Joseph had all his friends round for a Christmas party this week. He was happy to share out his toys for them to play with and they all seemed to enjoy themselves together.

Video clip of Joseph underwater

This week, Joseph did his first underwater dive where the instructor let go of him underwater and he swum up to the surface on his own. Here is a video clip of the dive- quite a difference to the clip of his first dunk a few months ago.

Swimming

Auntie Julie joined Joseph and Mummy this week for swimming lessons and they all enjoyed themselves. Joseph did another underwater dive and seems really confident in the water.

Joe's first self-feeding

After getting on well now being spoon fed his solid foods, this was his first attempt at feeding himself without any help from us and he really enjoyed his apple rice cake.

new high chair

Joseph is starting to get comfortable in his smart new high chair and learning to feed while in it. Still a bit wobbly in it (him- not Daddy's construction of the chair of course). Actually it took Daddy a couple of hours and some swearing to put it together due to a strange design and not because Daddy didn't read the instructions properly before he started.

remote baby sitting

Thanks to modern technology and the magic of skype video I can do the babysitting from out here on the the rig. Joseph could see and hear me live on the computer screen at home while I watched and talked to him from the North Sea.

Joseph's first skydive

Joe's first skydive was a great success. He really enjoyed the experience and managed 7 seconds of freefall from 3000m before releasing his chute and landing safely. He can't wait for his next jump in a few weeks time.

He's sitting up

Week 28 and Joseph has just managed to sit up on his own for the first time. A bit wobbly for now but excellent progress.
